Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo administered the oath of office to the new officers of the Philippine Muslim Judges Association (PMJA) on September 11, 2025, at the Supreme Court (SC) Dignitaries’ Lounge.

The Chief Justice was joined by SC Associate Justice Japar B. Dimaampao.

The PMJA was led by its President, Court of Appeals Associate Justice Edilwasif T. Baddiri.

Joining Justice Baddiri as newly inducted PMJA officers were Vice President for Second Level Courts Presiding Judge Wenida M. Papandayan, Branch 10, Regional Trial Court (RTC), Marawi City; Vice President for First Level Courts Presiding Judge Nurhani C. Pacasem-Nur, Municipal Trial Court, Kabuntalan, Maguindanao del Norte; Vice President for Shari’ah Courts Presiding Judge Jamel T. Mamutuk, Branch 44, RTC, Initao, Misamis Oriental; Secretary-General Presiding Judge Mylene I. Amerol-Macumbal, Branch 3, RTC, Iligan City; Treasurer Presiding Judge Remee-Raida S. Retired Shari’ah Circuit Court Judge Kaudri L. Jainul, who will serve as PMJA’s Adviser, also took his oath.

The induction marks a significant milestone for the PMJA as it embarks on its new chapter of leadership, reaffirming its commitment to strengthen the role of Muslim judges in advancing justice.
